Bhekti Suryani has been working as a journalist/editor for Harian Jogja newspaper and Harianjogja.com since 2010. She has concerns with political and environmental issues, as also data journalism. Bhekti is one of the Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) Indonesia data journalism trainers. Currently, she is also active as an administrator for The Society of Indonesian Environmental Journalists (SIEJ) Environmental Politics and Economics Division and as an administrator AJI Yogyakarta. In the midst of her busy life, Bhekti is currently pursuing master degree at the Department of Political Science and Government, Gadjah Mada University (UGM).
